Giving Back
At least once in our lives all of us have experienced hard times. It may have come suddenly, or might have been more like a test of endurance. Because tragedy is no respecter of age, income, race, or religion, it can happen to anyone. If it were not for the loving kindness of friends, family, and sometimes even complete strangers, some would have no hope. Sterling Maiden wants to extend that hope and as the quote goes, Pay it forward.
We believe in caring for people in need and have committed to giving a percentage of profits from every sale starting on October 1st, 2006. Ten percent of the profits of every item you purchase, whether it is a gift for yourself or some one else, will go to local families in need. The funds will go directly (but are not limited) to pay for medical bills, housing or utilities, food and personal care products, clothing, and Christmas and birthday gifts for the kids of these families. These are people who, through no fault of their own, have had to live through heartache brought on by disease, serious injury, and other tragedy. We can't erase what's been done, but we can make their burden lighter by this simple effort.
During the months of November and December of each year we will increase that effort to 30%. This means that from every $500.00 of profit, Sterling Maiden will donate $150.00 directly to a person or family who truly needs it.
You can partner with us to make the lives of these hurting families brighter and offer hope to their children. Feel good about your purchases knowing that the quality craftsmanship you've just received, no matter where in the world you reside, is changing the quality of life for some one who really needs it.
In addition to the direct donation of funds, Sterling Maiden also regularly donates handcrafted jewelry for the benefit of non-profit (501-C3) groups. Organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic Volunteer Services, along with other local charities, employ our sponsorship to help during fundraising and awareness events. Be a part of a bigger picture in life and support these groups through your generosity!
